Become a student representative for the Norfolk Environmental Commission!

The Norfolk Environmental Commission (NEC) Student Representative Program gives high school students the opportunity to play an important role in their community, by serving on the NEC as a regular non-voting member.

All positions are voluntary, unpaid and are open to any Norfolk Public School high-school applicants residing within Norfolk City limits.

Important Dates

  • March 1 to April 30, 2020 – Applications accepted.
  • May 14, 2020 – Two students selected from each high school.
  • May 18, 2020 – Semi-finalists notified.
  • May 25-29, 2020 – Interviews for each semi-finalist.
  • June 5, 2020 - Selections made and two students notified per school.
