Norfolk Public Art
You can find artwork in public locations throughout Norfolk, where everyone can see and enjoy it.
Mermaids
Mermaids can be found throughout downtown and in neighborhoods. Some old, some new. Some in front of businesses, schools, hospitals and some in homeowners’ yards. They are truly loved by young and old, visitors and residents alike. So start looking! See how many you can find. When you spot one, give a shout, “There goes a mermaid!”
Trail of Honor
The Norfolk Trail of Honor is dedicated to those service members with a direct connection to City of Norfolk who have received the Medal of Honor.
There will be ten plaques located in Wisconsin Square, adjacent to the battleship. Each plaque will tell the story of the recipient’s exploits and a little about their lives.
