Tidewater African Cultural Alliance and Norfolk State University Dance present "Afrobeats Fest 757"

Four great events in one weekend! Afrobeats Dance Workshop on Friday November 11, 6:30-8:30 pm,$35 -$40 Jay Hover will be returning to add his vivacious flavor to the festivities, including a Master Class for aspiring singers, on Friday November 11, 7-8:30 pm. $20 Youth and adult teams will compete for over $3000 worth in cultural scholarship prizes in our Dance Off Competition on Saturday, November 12: 2:30-4:30 pm. Demola the Violinist will be making a guest appearance, and the top 3 teams will dance for one of his songs' videos immediately following the competition. $29 The festival ends with a ()West African Dinner Concert on Saturday November 12, 6:30-9 pm featuring Demola the Violinist and Jay Hover. $39 Purchase 1 ticket per event, à la carte, or buy multiples and save. We are thrilled to be partnering with the Norfolk State University once again to bring our Hampton Roads community the Afrobeats FEST 757!

Here is how the weekend will run:

  1. Internationally renowned Afrobeats Dance Instructor Akosua Akoto will return to charm our participants in an Afrobeats Dance Workshop on Friday November 11, 6:30-8:30 pm, accompanied by Cameroon born Henry LeSheriff. $35
  2. Boston based 'One Leg' singer and 2022 Ghana Entertainment Awards Entertainer of the Year Jay Hover will be returning to add his vivacious flavor to the festivities, including a Master Class for aspiring singers, on Friday November 11, 7-8:30 pm. $20
  3.
