    MacArthur Center kicks off the 13th season of MacArthur On Ice, sponsored by Longwood University. Whether it’s a family tradition or a first date, the center’s 7,200-square-foot outdoor ice rink is the place for good times this winter. As an extra treat, skaters will be delighted with a magical snowfall! The fluffy flakes will fall each night during three designated periods. Season passes and birthday party packages are available.

  1. MLK Day Wreath Dedication and Commemoration Service

    January 14, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church

    The Norfolk District of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church(A.M.E. Zion) will celebrate MLK Day, by dedicating and laying a wreath at the MLK Memorial on the corner of Church and Brambleton Ave at 2pm. Afterwards there will be a commemoration Service of the life and legacy of Dr. King at Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church at 3:30pm. The speaker will be Bishop W. Darin Moore.
