  1. Learn to Ride Family Workshop

    May 20, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Jeff Robertson Park

Got a little one just starting out on two wheels? Need some tips on training your budding bmx-er? Let us help! The Elizabeth River Trail is a safe and easy setting for families to ride together and learn the ropes before setting out on the streets. There's no better time than Bike Month to get your training wheels and kiddie bike seats out of the garage and onto the Trail. The Trail's League of American Bicyclists certified instructor will teach an all ages class on bikes. For two hours, get acquainted with bike skills you'll need as a parent teaching your children how to ride. Intended for parents and kids just starting out on bikes, kids who might need a refresher course this spring or young ones about to leave the training wheels behind. Get acquainted with rules of the road and basic safety maneuvers to keep your family rubber side down and smiles right side up. Organizer: Friends of the Elizabeth River Trail
