[ARCHIVED] Police Catch Suspected Robber

On 08/12/2014, around 11:30 pm, a call was received in the Emergency Communications Center (911), for an individual robbery that just occurred in the 900 block of Spotswood Avenue. Victim stated that a black male suspect approached, displayed a firearm, and demanded money. Suspect then fled on foot. Police responded quickly to the area and observed a possible suspect getting into a vehicle located on 21st Street. A police officer attempted to pull the vehicle over in the 2300 block of Colley Ave, however, the driver attempted to elude the officer. Other responding officers arrived and the vehicle finally stopped in the 3300 block of Gosnold Ave, where the driver and the passenger fled on foot. Both adult males were caught, and detained after a brief foot pursuit. Charges are pending. Once the suspect (s) are formally charged, the identity of the suspect(s) and charges will be released.
