[ARCHIVED] NPD Catches Car Thieves

On 08/19/2014, around 4:30 p.m., patrol officers spotted a stolen vehicle in the 900 block of E. Princess Anne Road. Before officers activated their lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop, four male occupants jumped from the vehicle, and fled on foot. The vehicle continued to roll and struck an occupied vehicle, causing minor damage, but no injuries. Three of the four occupants were detained after a brief foot pursuit, the driver and two passengers. All three detained male suspects were juveniles (two 17-year-olds and one 15-year-old). Charges for Possession of Stolen Auto, Hit and Run, and Driving Without a License are pending. No one was injured during this event. There is no suspect description given for the fourth male passenger.
