[ARCHIVED] NPD Looking for Suspect who Shot at Police

Shortly after 1:30 this afternoon, patrol officers observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker in the 2600 block of Harrell Avenue.

As officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle got out and began running. The officers gave chase after him. The suspect then shot at officers as he was running from them. The officers continued to give chase, but were unable to locate him.

The suspect is identified as a black man, late teens early 20’s, around 5’9”, weighing approximately 160 pounds, wearing a black hat and black jeans.

No officers or civilians were injured during this incident, and officers did not return fire.
