[ARCHIVED] One Man Dead Another Injured In Early Morning Shootings

Norfolk Police Detectives are investigating two separate shooting incidents.

Shortly before 4:00 a.m. this morning, a 9-1-1 caller reported a gunshot victim at 700 E. 25th Street.

When police arrived, they found a 30-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he later died.

Later that morning, shortly after 6:30 a.m., a 9-1-1 caller reported a gunshot victim 2 blocks away in the 2500 block of Leo Street.

When police arrived, they found a 24-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.

At this time, Norfolk Detectives are trying to determine if the shootings are related due to the close proximity.

The identity of the man who died will not be released until proper next of kin notification.
