[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police Investigate Undetermined Death

Shortly before 8:00 this evening, Norfolk Dispatchers received a call about a pedestrian being struck by a train near the 1200 block of Bolton Street. Norfolk Police and Fire Rescue responded and medics declared the man dead at the scene. Than man's identity will not be released until next of kin have been properly notified. The Norfolk Police Detective Division is handling this investigation, which is currently being classified as an "Undetermined Death."

While the scene is being processed, traffic will be temporarily re-routed in the 1100 block of Goff Street between the intersections of Bolton Street and Courtney Avenue. Pedestrian and vehicular traffic should avoid the area. There is no further information to release at this time.
