[ARCHIVED] Teen injured in afternoon shooting

NORFOLK, Va. – A 14-year-old was injured in a shooting off Campostella Road Saturday afternoon.

Shortly before 5:45 p.m., police were called to the 1600 block of Campostella Road for reports of multiple gunshots heard in the area. As police were responding, they received another call for a teenage girl who had been shot.

Police located the girl outside suffering from a gunshot wound, and provided first aid until paramedics arrived.

Medics rushed the teen to the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what appears to be, at this time, non-life threatening injuries.
