[ARCHIVED] Memorial Day weekend turns deadly


NORFOLK, Va. - Police are investigating a shooting that has left a man dead over the Memorial Day weekend.

Dispatchers received a call at 2:43 p.m. to the 800 block of Johnson Avenue for a possible gunshot victim. When police arrived, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
