[ARCHIVED] A shooting in Norfolk leaves a man dead

NORFOLK, Va. - A shooting on Argonne Avenue early this morning has left a man dead.

Norfolk police were dispatched to the 3500 block of Argonne Avenue around 3:50 a.m. this morning for a possible gunshot victim. When they arrived, they found a man lying on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Paramedics pronounced the man deceased on scene.

There is no suspect information at this time, as this investigation is in the preliminary stages.
