[ARCHIVED] Man wanted in connection to armed commercial robbery

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk police detectives are searching for a man wanted in connection to an armed robbery at a local convenience store.

Shortly before 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening, a man walked into the 7-Eleven located at 5200 Colley Avenue. The man displayed a handgun and demanded money from the store clerk. After obtaining the money, the man ran away from the location.

Emergency dispatchers were contacted and police immediately responded to the store. Detectives have confirmed no one was injured during the incident, and have released photos of the armed suspect.

Police are attempting to identify the man and describe him as a black male, approximately 6’0” – 6’2” in height and weighing 230-250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat with white “COOGI” lettering, black jacket and black pants.
