[ARCHIVED] Update: Saturday morning shooting has left one person dead

Norfolk, Va. – Police responded to reports of gunshots heard in the 1700 block of Greenleaf Drive around 5:20 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, officers found two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both men were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. One of the men identified as 25-year-old Justin A. Neal, succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this homicide and encourage anyone with information to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at either:

Two people injured in a shooting on Greenleaf Drive

NORFOLK, Va. - Two people have been injured in a Saturday morning shooting on Greenleaf Drive.

Dispatchers were notified of shots heard in the area around 5:20 a.m.

Police arrived to the 1700 block of Greenleaf Drive and found two men suffering with apparent gunshot wounds. One man appears to have life threatening injuries at this time, while the other man has a non-life threatening injury.

Paramedics transported both men to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
