[ARCHIVED] Man arrested in Lafayette Park homicide

NORFOLK, VA. (NPD) - A Norfolk man is behind bars after being charged with the summertime shooting death of 46-year-old Addison J. Shearin.

In the early morning hours of July 18, 2016, Norfolk police responded to a gunshot victim in the 3500 block of Granby Street.  When officers arrived, they located Addison Shearin suffering from an apparent gunshot.  Shearin was pronounced dead on scene.

Detectives identified 40-year-old Terrence M. Booth as a suspect during the course of the investigation.  Booth was eventually charged with one count each of the following:

(1) Second Degree Murder
(2) Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony

Booth, a Norfolk resident, was arrested without incident on November 30, 2016.  He remains held without bond at the Norfolk City Jail.
