NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk detectives are investigating a
shooting Monday evening that occurred in the parking lot of a Norfolk McDonald’s.
Around 6:10 p.m. police were called to the McDonald's located
in the 400 block of St. Paul’s Boulevard for a report of a shooting. Once
police arrived they found a 22-year-old man lying in the parking lot suffering
from a gunshot wound. He was quickly taken by paramedics to Sentara Norfolk
General Hospital for a serious, yet non-life threatening injury.
There were no other injuries reported.
“We take the safety
of our employees and customers very seriously and are working with the proper
authorities to assist in their investigation," said JS&J Restaurants
Inc., a local McDonald's franchise organization.
