NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk detectives have caught the man responsible for robbing four businesses in two days.
Daniel Silverthorn, 51, of the 300 block of Winshire Street was arrested on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 without incident.
On Sunday, Silverthorn first entered the Walgreens at 8609 Tidewater Drive at about 7:20 p.m. He displayed a handgun and demanded cigarettes from the cashier.
About 10 minutes later, Silverthorn entered the McDonalds at 8402 Tidewater Drive displaying a gun to the cashier and demanding money.
On Monday around 9 a.m., Silverthorn robbed the Taco Bell located at 227 E. Little Road and the Beach Bay Food Store at 9505 First View Street around 9:30 a.m.
No one was injured in any of the robberies.
Silverthorn has been charged with 4 counts of robbery, 4 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and 4 counts of using a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Silverthorn is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
