[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police Department Designates "E-Commerce Exchange Zones"

The Norfolk Police Department has created an “E-Commerce Exchange Zone” at each patrol division and encourages community members to use the lobby or reserved locations for their online purchases and transactions.

“E-Commerce Exchange Zones” are available at the following police buildings:

FIRST PATROL DIVISION
-  3661 E. Virginia Beach Boulevard
Hours of Operations: Lobby Open 24 Hours, Holidays Included
*Parking is limited.  Citizens are encouraged to come inside the front lobby to complete transactions.*

SECOND PATROL DIVISION
- 2500 N. Military Highway
Hours of Operations: Lobby Open Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Closed Holidays)
Reserved Parking Available 24-Hours

THIRD PATROL DIVISION
– 901 Asbury Avenue
Hours of Operations: Lobby Open Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Closed Holidays)
Reserved Parking Available 24-Hours

The Police Department’s video surveillance operates 24-hours a day and anyone using the “E-Commerce Exchange Zone” is subject to being recorded.  This service requires no prior authorization or police response.

The Norfolk Police Department strictly prohibits the following transactions:

  • ANY transactions involving firearms
  • Illegal transactions, including, but not limited to: contraband, narcotics, illegal substances, stolen property, or other illegal items and/or exchanges
  • Large, bulky items that would disrupt the operations of the police facility
