[ARCHIVED] Shooting on E. Princess Anne Road leaves 2 seriously injured

Norfolk, Va. (NPD). Two men were seriously injured in a shooting on E. Princess Anne Road Thursday night.

Around 9:40 p.m., police were dispatched to a gunshot disturbance in the 2400 block of E. Princess Anne Road.  While they were responding to that location, another call came in for a second gunshot disturbance in the 1200 block of Lead Street. 

When police arrived on Princess Anne Road, they found a 39-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds laying outside in the courtyard of the apartment complex.  Once police arrived on Lead Street, they found a second person, a 26-year-old man, suffering from multiple gunshots wounds.

Both men were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries; however, both are expected to be okay.

Preliminary information has revealed both men were shot in the 2400 block of E. Princess Anne Road during an isolated incident.  After the shooting, the 26-year-old man ran from the scene to Lead Street, where police were called.

Police have not released any suspect information or motive for the shooting at this time.
