[ARCHIVED] 2 injured in afternoon shooting on Mariner Street

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Friday afternoon shooting leaves two injured on Mariner Street in Norfolk.

Shortly after 6:00 p.m., police responded to the 1100 block of Mariner Street for a gunshot disturbance. When first responders arrived, they located two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were quickly taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment. One victim remains in critical but stable condition, the other is expected to be okay.

Detectives have not released the circumstances surrounding the double shooting; however, they ask anyone with information to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3 mobile app.
