Norfolk's Animal Care Center placed first overall for the Hampton Roads region month-long "Clear the Shelters" event with partner WAVY-TV 10. NACC also had the highest single-day total on Saturday, placing 46 pets with families in just 5.5 hours on the last day of the event!
“Our communities certainly heeded the call to embrace our area shelters and the many deserving animals within," said Norfolk Animal Care and Adoption Center Director Barbara Hays. "It is incredibly humbling to know there is so much love and support for the work we do and the animals we cherish.”
