NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A third man wanted in connection with the recent homicide off Military Highway is now in custody.
Gary L. Drew, 26, of the 400 block of E. Little Creek Road, was arrested in the City of Virginia Beach this evening after a fugitive investigation involving Norfolk Police, the Virginia Beach Police Department, and the United
States Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
Drew has been charged with second-degree murder, mob assault, abduction, conspiracy and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The two other suspects are Dashawn T. Bryant and Patrick M. Barnes, who’ve been charged with the murder of Michael McGregor. McGregor, of Norfolk, was fatally shot early Saturday morning in the 3500 block of N. Military Highway.
Bryant, 26, of the 1300 block of Lead Street, has been charged with second-degree murder, mob assault, abduction, conspiracy and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony
Barnes, 26, of the 700 block of B Avenue, has been charged with second-degree murder, mob assault, abduction, conspiracy and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony
Bryant, Barnes, and Drew are being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
All three suspects are known gang members and detectives believe this homicide is gang related.
