[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Police locate missing 14-year-old boy

UPDATE: Norfolk police have located the missing 14-year-old boy, James Spratley. He was found this morning safe and unharmed and was returned to his family. 


NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance with locating 14-year-old James Earl Spratley, who was last seen on Sunday.

Spratley is approximately 5-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs around 145 pounds. 

He was last seen June 30, 2019 riding a black bicycle in the area of Maltby Avenue, wearing grey sweatpants, black short sleeve shirt and black Nike shoes.  

Detectives say Spratley suffers from some mental health issues and is in need of his medication.
