[ARCHIVED] Police identify man fatally shot on Alexander Street, Suspect charged.

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police have identified the man fatally shot this morning on Alexander Street as 23-year-old Isaiah D. Bond of Norfolk.

Around 12:40 a.m., dispatchers received a call to the 6200 block of Alexander Street for a gunshot disturbance. When first responders arrived, they found 22-year-old Shakir H. Holley suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Moments later, another call was received about a gunshot victim in the 1200 block of Strand Street. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found Bond suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Holley was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Holley has been charged with second degree murder, use of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
