Virginia Zoo Announces 2020 Member Swaps and Perks
NORFOLK, VA – It’s never been a better time to be a Virginia Zoo member! As spring is just around the corner and Zoo season is upon us, there is much to look forward to this year. So far, six member swaps have been confirmed for this year. Last year the Zoo opened its doors to more than 34,000 members from participating organizations. In return, thousands of Zoo members took advantage of this great opportunity to see what other area attractions have to offer. From fitness to fine art, the swaps add another unexpected level of fun and learning to the Zoo’s membership. The 2020 swaps include:
- March: Norfolk Admirals Hockey
- April: The Hermitage Museum & Gardens, in Norfolk
- June: Norfolk Botanical Gardens
- July: Museum of Contemporary Art, in Virginia Beach
- August: YMCA
- September: Children’s Museum of Virginia, in Portsmouth
Members of the participating swaps can purchase a Zoo Membership and receive two months for free.
Being a Zoo member also has its perks – literally! Each month members have exclusive benefits from event ticket discounts, giveaways or “bring a friend for free,” that offer more than $400 in savings. Members also receive 10% off in the restaurant and gift shop year-round, as well as discounts on Zoo education programs and half off admission to more than 150 zoos and aquariums nationwide.
