Man dies following Saturday evening shooting on Chesapeake Boulevard

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting that has left a 35-year-old man dead.

Shortly before 6:00 p.m. on October 10, 2020 police were dispatched to the 3100 block of Chesapeake Boulevard for the report of a vehicle accident. When officers arrived, they found that the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident had sustained a gunshot wound.

The man, Michael C. Perry, 35, of Norfolk, was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Detectives have not released a motive or any suspect information surrounding this incident.
