NORFOLK, VA – Stay informed on Norfolk’s Proposed FY 2022 budget through our online budget resources and share your priorities during a virtual public hearing.

If you want to speak about budget issues, plan to attend the Virtual Public Budget Hearing at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 8. Instructions on how to join and how to comment will be posted on the City Council’s webpage.
This is the only public hearing on the budget, and the only time residents will be able to address council members directly during a public forum on budget items.
City Council has planned several work sessions to discuss the FY 2022 Proposed Budget. City Council does not accept public comment during any of its work sessions. City Council’s budget work session calendar is also available on its webpage.
A virtual public hearing scheduled for 6 p.m. April 27 deals only with the impact to the effective tax rate due to an increase in real estate assessed values.
