City of Norfolk Launches ParkNorfolk Parking App

Custom parking app includes new features

Norfolk, VA – Parking in Norfolk just became even easier! ParkNorfolk is the City of Norfolk’s new and improved mobile app.  ParkNorfolk offers the same features as the Passport Parking app with even more options customized for Norfolk users.

In addition to paying for parking, users can:
  • Monitor parking sessions
  • Receive reminders when session is about to expire
  • Extend time remotely
  • View payment history
  • Receive email alerts
New features include:
  • In-app citation payments
  • A map showing public parking facilities
  • Directions to parking facilities
“We’re excited about shifting to a mobile parking app that is personalized to our community,” said Bart Neu, Parking Director for the City of Norfolk. “With our custom app, drivers have the ability to manage their parking with just a few simple taps on their mobile devices. This app is a platform that we will use to expand mobile services going forward in order to make parking more accessible and convenient.”

Current Passport Parking users must download the ParkNorfolk app to access the new Norfolk features.

ParkNorfolk is powered by Passport, the global leader for mobile parking and transit payments throughout cities and universities in North America.

“Passport is proud to continue to grow its partnership with Norfolk and enhance the mobile parking solution for the city with a completely customized and branded application,” said Kelsey Owens, sales executive at Passport. “With the refreshed application, parkers will continue to be able to take advantage of using their smartphones for mobile payments. Additionally, parkers will now be able to pay issued citations directly through the mobile app.”

The ParkNorfolk app is free to download through the App Store and Google Play. Users can also manage their parking via web at
