Update: Police arrest the man wanted for a double shooting on Granby Street

UPDATE: On September 12, 2019, members of the Norfolk Police Fugitive Squad and Special Operations Team along with Virginia Beach Police, arrested 25-year-old Dajah Scutchings at a residence in Virginia Beach. Scutchings will be held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond, once the booking process has been completed.

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police are searching for a suspect who is wanted in connection with a shooting on Granby Street last month that injured two people. booking photo of Scutchings

Dajah Scutchings, 25, of the 9600 block of 15th Bay Street, has active warrants for malicious wounding, attempted malicious wounding, using a firearm in the commission of a felony, maliciously discharge a firearm in public, shooting from a vehicle and shooting at an occupied vehicle.

Scutchings is wanted in connection to the double shooting that occurred in the 800 block of Granby Street on August 30 around 1:45 a.m. One man was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and the other man was treated on the scene.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Scutchings is encouraged to call 911 or submit a tip by using the P3Tips mobile app.
