SONGS OF A DREAMER: Virginia Symphony Orchestra

The Virginia Symphony Orchestra will pay homage to the visionary Civil Rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This concert will feature orchestral and vocal music that inspires that legacy of Dr. King. .
The VSO’s annual Dreamer Award will also be presented to Thomas Wilkins, Music Director of the Omaha Symphony and Norfolk native.
Through the VSO’s Harmony Project Concert program, this performance is free and open to the public.
 
Martin Luther King, Jr. Ceremony and Walk
  Monday, January 21, 2019
10:00 A.M.
Attucks Theatre, 1010 Church Street.  
Following the ceremony, the public is invited to march to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial for a wreath-laying ceremony.

Parking is available at Garden of Prayer Worship Center, 1001 Church Street.
