    Join us for an opening reception December 6, 5:30pm -7:30pm. Free & open to the public. Film screening at 6pm. As a black female artist working and learning in Richmond, VA, which was once the center of slave trading in the region, Nastassja Swift explores how the ancestral footsteps of black women have contributed to the stories and history of black girlhood in Richmond, VA. Consisting of wearable fiber sculptures, photography & film, "Remembering Her Homecoming" illustrates a moment of remembrance & reflection on the women who have roamed the spaces before us. "Remembering Her Homecoming" By Nastassja Swift, Marlon Turner and Torian Ugworji on view through January 17, 2020.

  3. Vienna Boys Choir: Christmas in Vienna- Norfolk

    Audiences and critics worldwide have praised the gifted singers of the Vienna Boys Choir (Wiener Sängerknaben / The Vienna Boys' Choir) for their celestial voices, rapturous harmonies, pure tone, irresistible charm, and, above all, a wide-ranging repertoire spanning centuries. Season after season, the sound is unique, with new young voices to discover, and fresh new harmonies to savor. Founded in 1498, this fabled choir served at the pleasure of emperors for centuries, performing for the royal court in Vienna. Today, the Choir includes 100 choristers from 31 nations, all between the ages of ten and fourteen; performing in smaller groups, the boys give 300 performances each year, across Europe as well as Asia, Australia, and the Americas—and among the most eagerly anticipated are their holiday concerts. Come see them perform in The NEON District at Harrison Opera House! This performance is an official Downtown Norfolk Holidays in the City event
