– Hope House Foundation hosts the 35th Stockley Gardens Spring Arts Festival, a free two-day community event featuring 125+ artists, musicians and food vendors. The Stockley Gardens Spring Arts Festival, presented by Union Bank & Trust, takes place in Stockley Gardens Park at the corner of Stockley Gardens and Olney Road in Norfolk on May 18 and 19.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Stockley Gardens Arts Festival has been named as one of the top two outdoor art festivals in Eastern Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine readers for six years

May is National Bike Month and the Virginia Arts Festival is celebrating big with The HandleBards in their U.S. debut! This lively troupe crisscrosses Britain on bikes, taking Shakespeare’s classics to farmers’ fields and village greens—and now brings them to an unexpected spot near you, May 15 – 22. Downtown Norfolk Council has partnered with Norfolk Tour Company to offer free monthly walking tours of the NEON District April through October. The tours explore the District that now has more than 87 pieces of public art and a multitude of local businesses that make up the neighborhood fabric. Each tour also highlights a NEON District business or partner, which provides tour attendees with a special experience or promotional offer.
