  1. 100th Anniversary West Point Monument Wreath Laying Ceremony

    March 14, 2020, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ West Point Cemetery

    The 100th Anniversary of the West Point Monument will be celebrated with a wreath laying ceremony to honor brother and past grand master James E. Fuller (1845-1909), a former slave and quartermaster in the first United States Colored Calvary during the Civil War. Fuller is also the first African American councilman during Reconstruction. The ceremony is March 14th at 10am at the West Point Cemetery, 238 Princess Anne Road. Enter through Elmwood Cemetery in front of the African American Civil War Veterans Memorial, the West Point Monument.

    CANCELED - The Men’s and Women’s Glee Clubs from the US Naval Academy sing at Christ and St. Luke’s! The Men’s Glee Club is the most highly acclaimed of the Naval Academy’s musical organizations and has achieved national prominence as one of America’s premier men’s choral ensembles. The Women’s Glee Club was founded in 1976 when women first entered the Naval Academy, and since that time, the ensemble has garnered international acclaim through their diverse repertoire and elegant sound. The only all-female military choral ensemble in the world, they have performed extensively across America and internationally.

When a new drag show replaces his act, Casey trades in his jumpsuit for a dress and finds that he has a whole lot to learn about show business—and himself. This music-filled comedy explores the art of finding your true voice, with loads of laughs and dance numbers along the way.

  4. A Piece of My Heart presented by Little Theatre of Norfolk

    This poignant drama provides female perspectives of the Vietnam War told through the true stories of five nurses and a USO singer. A Piece of My Heart is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC. To show our appreciation to women in the military, we will have a Wall of Honor in our greenroom during the play's run. Recognize someone or yourself by emailing or message us on social media. Provide: name, photo, "about" blurb by February 28. The Wall of Honor is for any woman who served any time.

  5. Church Street Jazz Series: Gregg Karukas

    Grammy winning keyboardist/composer Gregg Karukas is one of urban contemporary jazz's most versatile and acclaimed artists, and has been for over 25 years. Gregg won the Grammy for producing, composing, arranging, playing all keyboards, and engineering Echoes of Love, which won Best New Age Album at the 55th Grammy Awards in February 2013. He has had a diverse career in music with a long list of credits in all media. Blue Pyramid Productions is proud to have Gregg return to Norfolk in concert at The Attucks Theatre in celebration of the 5th season of the Church Street Jazz Series.

    CANCELED as of 3/12/2020: Join Us for the 53rd Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. The Parade steps off at 10:00am on March 14, 2020. Don't miss the After Parade Party, presented by the Columbian Club of Ocean View starting at noon at 211 W. Government Ave featuring live bands: Tidewater Drive (outside) and Savannah (inside the Hall). Plenty of food and refreshment vendors will be available as well. On-street parking is available on most of the adjacent blocks along the parade route. Offstreet parking is available at the Sarah Constant Beach Park, Ocean View Beach Park, and Ocean View Elementary.
