  1. Art and Science Camp Summer Camp at d'Art Center

    July 6, 2020, 8:30 AM - July 10, 2020, 3:00 PM @ d'Art Center

Whether practicing observation skills through drawing, or investigating non-traditional painting methods, participants in this one-week camp will discover the seamless ways in which creativity, innovation, and the sciences work together. A little messy, a lot of fun! Artists have been inspired by the wonders of science for hundreds of years. During this week of art camp students will investigate, explore and create science-inspired projects such as nature prints, kinetic sculptures, color theory and optical illusion art. Explore your active child's artistic side this summer with Summer Camp at d'Art Center in Norfolk! d'Art's summer program is for children ages 6-12 and includes sessions scheduled through July 2020! Students learn from professional art educators and d'Art's on-site resident artists. Throughout the week they work collaboratively, enjoy short outdoor field trips and create unique art projects while exploring a variety of media and techniques.
