  2. Virginia Stage Company, Public Works VA presents Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors

    Virginia Stage Company’s Public Works Virginia will present Comedy of Errors to public outdoor playing spaces across Hampton Roads. This zany and unexpected adaptation of Shakespeare's play, adapted by Ryan Clemens (A Christmas Carol, Meet Mark Twain) and directed by Steve Pacek (The Legend of Georgia McBride) goes beyond the schtick to play with the concept of family and the power of belonging. The tour will be presented in public parks, outdoor venues, and The Wells Theatre on weekends during May 2021.

    In partnership with the Virginia Arts Festival, Virginia Opera presents Leonard Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti, a one-act opera, coming this May! Presented at the Virginia Arts Festival Bank Street Stage*, starring members of Virginia Opera's Herndon Foundation Emerging Artists Program, and featuring members of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, each performance will take place under an expansive tent, allowing for a safe, socially distanced opera experience!

  5. Tidewater Classical Guitar presents Todd Holcomb in a virtual concert

    Todd Holcomb’s performances have been described as virtuoso and a force of nature. As a soloist and chamber musician he has been awarded top prizes in competitions including the East Carolina University International Guitar Competition, Mississippi International Guitar Competition, and J.C. Arriaga Chamber Music Competition. He holds a Master’s Degree in Music Performance and Pedagogy from Peabody Conservatory, an Artist Diploma from Columbus State University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Shenandoah Conservatory.
