    Join us as we reignite the Virginia International Tattoo Tradition in 2021 with an unforgettable Salute to the Greatest Generation Each years’ Tattoo is different, with new performers from across the globe, new themes of honor and patriotism, and new sights and sounds to amaze you. Our 2021 Tattoo promises to be the best ever! Join us as we reignite the Virginia International Tattoo tradition following our online only version in 2020. For the 2021 edition of the Tattoo, we are taking the very best from our plans for the 2020 Tattoo – including our Salute to the Greatest Generation - and combining it with our 2021 plans. The result will be a once in a generation Virginia International Tattoo, with an exceptional international cast, extraordinary Celtic performers, inspiring U.S. military groups, and an emotional and unifying celebration of our World War II Veterans.

  2. North Shore Point House Concerts and Virginia Arts Festival present Chris Smither

    June 4, 2021, 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM @ Bank Street Stage

    For the past few years, North Shore Point House Concerts has partnered with the Festival to present incredible artists in the VAF Courtyard and Robin Hixon Theater, Clay & Jay Barr Education Center. For 2021, North Shore Point Downtown will present Folk/Blues singer songwriter Chris Smither June 4 at the Bank Street Stage. In March 2018, Smither released his eighteenth record, Call Me Lucky (Signature Sounds/Mighty Albert) once again teaming up with producer and multi-instrumentalist David Goodrich. Also joined by Billy Conway (Morphine) and Matt Lorenz (The Suitcase Junket), Smither recorded eight new originals along with some very special and surprising covers at the Blue Rock studios in the Texas hills in June 2017. In October 2020, More From The Levee, the follow-up to the 50-year career retrospective Still on the Levee, was released.
