What scene inspires the work of today’s artists? Is it a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, or a buzzing city full of light and noise? Is it a natural wonder, or a famous man made landmark?
The open call for Scene received 387 submissions from 109 artists from 33 states. 51 pieces from 39 artists from 18 states (11 Virginian artists) were selected for this exhibition.
Suzanne Yurdin is a contemporary abstract painter who lives and works in Falls Church, VA. As the youngest of four, she was always playing outside or participating in sports. Her paintings pay homage to that love of nature and sense of adventure.
