Hermitage Museum and Gardens presents "Echoes of the Heart"

CLAUDIA BUENO: ECHOES OF THE HEART June 10–October 8, 2023 Opening Celebration: Friday, June 9 Summer Exhibition Programs Beginning June 9, 2023, the Hermitage Museum will feature internationally recognized artist Claudia Bueno for a three-month solo exhibition. Born in Venezuela, Bueno creates stunning, interactive worlds that call forth our most intimate, foundational emotions and gives them seemingly limitless space in which to fully bloom. Metaphor and biology are forever married in works of sound, light, circuits, motors, wind and film. These mystical, immersive environments reflect her personal commitment to healing and inner growth and our collective fascination with the building blocks of our inner worlds—energy, consciousness and spirit.

Virginia Opera presents "Wednesday Wind Down" Weekly Lawn Concert Series

The week's Weekly Wednesday Wind Down concert will feature the cast of Siegfried singing some of their favorite opera and Broadway songs! You don't want to miss this one! Bring a chair or blanket and your favorite snack and relax on the Harrison Opera House lawn for Wednesday Wind Down! Take a midweek break and get a sneak peek of what our artists can do ahead of our season opener on September 29th. EVERYONE IS WELCOME at this free event! So, text your friends, grab your coworkers, round up the kids, and join us on the lawn at the Harrison Opera House.

11th Annual Neighborhood Expo Saturday, September 16 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Northside Park 8400 Tidewater Drive Norfolk, VA Celebrating Neighbors, Friends and Changemakers! Join your neighbors and friends for an afternoon of sparking community change at the 11th Annual Neighborhood Expo on Saturday, September 16 from 11am to 3pm at Northside Park. Festivities include music, food trucks, creative activities, and fellowship. It's fun, free and suitable for all ages. The Neighborhood Expo also includes the 4th Annual Community U.P.L.I.F.T. Awards, recognizing the individuals, civic leagues, community groups, businesses and faith-based organizations making positive changes in neighborhoods and the City of Norfolk.
