    CLAUDIA BUENO: ECHOES OF THE HEART June 10–October 8, 2023 Opening Celebration: Friday, June 9 Summer Exhibition Programs Beginning June 9, 2023, the Hermitage Museum will feature internationally recognized artist Claudia Bueno for a three-month solo exhibition. Born in Venezuela, Bueno creates stunning, interactive worlds that call forth our most intimate, foundational emotions and gives them seemingly limitless space in which to fully bloom. Metaphor and biology are forever married in works of sound, light, circuits, motors, wind and film. These mystical, immersive environments reflect her personal commitment to healing and inner growth and our collective fascination with the building blocks of our inner worlds—energy, consciousness and spirit.

    Thursday, September 28 | 5:30 - 7:30 PM | Slover Library Join us for a visit with author Robert Gipe and a discussion about his three books, “Weedeater,” “Trampoline” and “Pop.” In 2021, the trilogy won the Judy Gaines Young Book Award. Gipe is the founding producer of the Higher Ground community performance series and has served as a script consultant for the Hulu series “Dopesick” and as a producer on the feature film “The Evening Hour.” Gipe resides in Harlan County, Kentucky. He grew up in Kingsport, Tennessee.? Come and enjoy delectable hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar as you mingle. Additionally, copies of the books will be available for purchase and signing.
