Office of Elections
Our Mission

The Office of Elections is responsible for protecting the integrity of the electoral process in the City of Norfolk through maintaining accurate voter records and efficient administration of elections in accordance with state and federal election laws. We are committed to being an information resource for the citizens of Norfolk regarding elected officials, voter registration, and election services.            

        
 
 

There will be a Democratic Party Primary Election
in the 6th Senate District on June 11, 2019. 
There will be a Democratic Party and
a Republican Party Primary Election
in the 7th Senate District on June 11, 2019.
There is NO Primary Election in the 5th Senate District.

      The deadline to register for the June 11, 2019
Primary Elections is Monday, May 20, 2019.

Become an Officer of Election


On February 14, 2019, the U.S. District Court for the 
Eastern District of Virginia 
(Richmond Division) 
issued a Court Order requiring redistricting of the 
House of Delegates Districts to include the
Hampton Roads area.  
This impacted 21 precincts
within Norfolk
Those precincts are: 

    Granby, Titustown, Second Presbyterian, Larchmont School, 
    Chrysler Museum, Taylor Elementary School, Willard, Broad Creek, Lafayatte-Winona, Norview, Rosemont, Campostella, Chesterfield, Barron Black, Bayview, East Ocean View, Larrymore, Little Creek, Tarrallton, Third Presbyterian & Azalea Gardens.


    Voters who may have been impacted by these redistricting changes will receive a Voter Information Notice in the mail.
