Economic Development Authority
The Authority's mission is to create jobs, maximize utilization of Norfolk's real estate, foster business capital investment, increase revenue by growing the tax base, focus on the needs of neighborhoods and support minority and small businesses, pursuant to the Code of Virginia Section 15.2-4903.

Membership Composition:

Eleven (11) directors are appointed by the City Council and serve terms of four years. The directors also must reside in the city. A chair, vice-chair, and any other officers deemed necessary are elected within the board of directors. Directors receive no salary.
