Tidewater Community College Board
The board is responsible for assuring that the community college is responsive to the needs existing within its service region regarding statewide policies, procedures, and regulations of the State Board of Community Colleges, pursuant to the Code of Virginia 23.1-2904 (4).

Membership Composition:

The board consists of twelve (12) members from the local political subdivisions sponsoring the community college. The City of Norfolk appoints three (3) of the 12 members. The members must be residents in the region served by the community college and include persons from various businesses, industries, and professions in the region being served by the community college. The college president serves in an ex-officio capacity. No elected members of the General Assembly or local governing body may serve on the board.
