Mayor's Advisory Commission On Climate Change Mitigation and Adaption
The Commission shall act in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and Council on matters involving climate change mitigation and adaption. The Commission shall provide advice and input concerning factors impacting climate and its effects on citizens, specifically including recommendations for the development of a comprehensive greenhouse gas emissions inventory, delineating climate hazards faced by Norfolk, recommending targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, cataloging aspects of climate vulnerability, and recommending mitigation and adaption strategies. Membership Composition:

Members are appointed by City Council, and serve for a term of one (1) year. Two Council Members appointed by the Mayor shall serve as co-chairpersons.
