The Division of Transportation is responsible for the safety and efficiency of traffic flow involving vehicular traffic, vehicular parking, as well as bicycle and pedestrian safety.  In order to accomplish this, the Division operates and maintains 312 traffic signals, 120 school and pedestrian crossing signals, 22 continuous and activated flashers and over 31,000 street lights.  Also maintained are more than 700 miles of traffic lane lines and 813 crosswalk locations.  The Division creates, installs and maintains more than 60,000 traffic control signs. 

Transportation provides the following services:
