2017 Norfolk Boat Permits are available.  Use the link below to get the Permit Application and sale locations.

**************Western Branch Boat Ramp******************

Beginning on Monday, July 6, 2016, the contractor working on the Western Branch Dam will begin using the boat ramp and a portion of the parking area for material storage.  The contractor will generally only use one side of the ramp, leaving the other side open for public use. However, there will be days when the property will be closed to the public for safety reasons.  The closure may be for several hours, or a whole day. Closure dates will be posted when they become available.

**************Lake Smith Boat Ramp******************

A project to improve the Lake Smith Weir (spillway) has begun and is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2018.  To facilitate construction, the lake elevation may be lowered.  The contractor will also use the main boat ramp to load large equipment into the lake, which will require closing the facility to the public.  Closure dates will be posted when they become available.

Lake Smith parking area and boat ramp will be closed August 16, 2017.  If needed, due to inclement weather, the ramp will be closed on August 17, 2017.
