NORFOLK, Va. – Police are investigating a shooting on Underwood Avenue, Sunday evening, after a 15-year-old girl was shot.
Shortly after 6 p.m. police received several 911 calls of a shooting in the 1200 block of Underwood Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the teenage girl outside with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Responding officers provided the girl first aid before paramedics arrived to take her to a nearby hospital.
Witnesses tell police, the 15-year-old and a group of teenagers were walking on Underwood Avenue when they heard 5-6 gunshots coming from Chesapeake Boulevard.
