[ARCHIVED] 2 teens charged in Harrell Street homicide

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Two 17-year-old young men have been charged with murder in the death of a 19-year-old on Harrell Street Tuesday afternoon.

Their identities are not being released because they are juveniles.

The pair face charges for the homicide that took place on December 12, 2017 on Harrell Avenue. Around 2 p.m., first responders were called to the 2800 block for a gunshot disturbance. When they arrived, they found Daquan Davis suffering from a gunshot wound. Davis was transported to the hospital; however, he died shortly after arriving.

Both teens have been charged with one count each of second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The two are being held in the Norfolk Juvenile Detention Center.

As this is an ongoing investigation, detectives have not release any motive for the fatal shooting.
