[ARCHIVED] Bicyclist suffers life threatening injuries in evening crash

NORFOLK, Va. – (NPD) The Norfolk Police Traffic Fatality Team is investigating a motor vehicle accident that left a bicyclist in serious condition.

At 6:26 p.m. Norfolk Police were called to E. 26th Street and Villa Circle for a motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist. When police and paramedics arrived, they found an adult man with serious injuries.

Paramedics quickly transported the man to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life- threatening injuries.


The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. No other injuries were reported.

Charges are pending based on the conclusion of the investigation.
