NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Police have identified the 25-year-old pedestrian who died in crash Monday night on Military Highway.
Ronelle E. Franklin, of the 400 block of Lucy Lane in Chesapeake, was hit by a Freightliner box truck in the 500 block of North Military Highway around 9:10 p.m. while attempting to cross the street.
Franklin was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he died.
The Norfolk Police Traffic Fatality Team is investigating this crash and upon completion of the investigation, the findings will be turned over to the Office of the Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney for review.
